Areas of Practice

  • Business Law

If you are going to operate a business, you will want to protect yourself against personal    liability. As a small business person, you can have your corporation or LLC formed for a flat fee and have your organizational meeting, shares issued, appointment of officer(s) and Director(s), tax ID number, etc., within one week of setting up a complimentary initial consultation. Each year thereafter, Lee M. Quick P.C. will file your required Annual Report with the Virginia State Commission and prepare your annual corporate paperwork for a minimal fee.

    • Wills, Trusts, and Estates, Tax Planning and Asset Protection
Most estate planning documents, including Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, etc., can be accomplished on an established flat fee basis. Trust Administration and Litigation associated with estate disputes must be done on an hourly basis because the scope of the required work is unknown. Every effort is made to provide services for a flat fee, where possible, after a complimentary initial consultation.

    .

    • Elder Law
Some areas of Elder Law, such as Powers of Attorney and Advance Health Care Directives, can be done on a flat fee basis. Legal Representation in other matters such as Guardianships, Special Needs Trusts, intervention with various social service agencies, nursing homes etc., is provided on an hourly basis after an initial complimentary consultation.

    .

    • Contracts and other Disputes
All representation involving contract disputes, if it involves litigation for enforcement or breach of contract, is provided on an hourly basis after an initial complimentary consultation. This type of representation cannot be provided on a flat fee basis because the scope of the work is unknown at the outset of the case. Many contractual disputes involving homeowners, contractors and other business persons can be resolved more efficiently through negotiation and mediation, which is always considered if it is in the client’s best interests.
